Intermediate Cedar Rock->Big Rock and Burnt Mountain Half Day Skill Clinic Saturday April 4, 2026 2pm
What, Where and When: This half day clinic will meet with riders ready to ride at 2pm on Saturday April 4, 2026 at the Corn Mill Shoals Parking lot and will last until 5pm.
Who: This clinic is for intermediate riders who are just starting to consider riding Cedar Rock→Big Rock and Burnt Mountain Trails in DuPont State Recreational Forest. If you’ve never ridden these trails before but are comfortable rolling the bike down features, this clinic is for you! If you’ve only ridden this trail and walked most of the technical features, this clinic is for you! If you’re comfortable riding Ingles Field, Little Hickory Top, Sidehill, Hickory Mountain, Cedar Rock, Cove Creek, Rhodo Ruckus or GNCC, this clinic is for you!
This clinic will focus on improving climbing and descending stability and efficiency, braking skills, rolling the bike down rock features that are “stand alone” as well as continuous while utilizing improved braking, trail vision and line choice.
Participant benefits: I use video analysis during the clinic to help riders improve their skills. All riders will receive a link to all of the photos and videos taken during the clinic. Participants will receive a thorough write up of the skills and maneuvers learned during the clinic so that riders may use them to continue their learning beyond this clinic.
This clinic is capped at 4 riders.
