What, Where and When: This half day clinic will meet with riders ready to ride at 9am on Saturday April 4, 2026 at the Corn Mill Shoals Parking lot.

Who: This clinic is for advanced riders who are already riding Cedar Rock→Big Rock and Burnt Mountain Trails in DuPont State Recreational Forest and want to ride them better, more confidently, faster and with more style. This clinic is for riders who are riding trails like Burnt Mountain, Bennett Gap, Daniel Ridge, Buckwheat Knob, Pilot Rock, Hemlock Epoch, Paint it black.

We will work on improving climbing and descending stability for more efficiency and speed. We will review the pedal wheel lift and the standing front wheel lift for on trail application. We’ll work on rolling as well as dropping on-trail features to improve technical skills and speed while utilizing quality braking skills. We’ll also work on improving our trail vision to increase speed and confidence.

Participant benefits: I use video analysis during the clinic to help riders improve their skills. All riders will receive a link to all of the photos and videos taken during the clinic. Participants will receive a thorough write up of the skills and maneuvers learned during the clinic so that riders may use them to continue their learning beyond this clinic.
