What, Where and When: This full day clinic will meet with riders ready to ride at 10am on Saturday August 1, 2026 at the Trace Ridge Parking Lot in Pisgah National Forest.

Who: This clinic is for Advanced riders who have been on Trace Ridge and Spencer Branch who just want to ride these trails better, with more control, confidence, speed and style. We’ll ride 5000 to Spencer Gap, descend Spencer Branch then climb up Spencer Branch and descend Trace Ridge. We’ll session the root gardens on Spencer Gap and talk about how to ride this section of trail in a more sustainable manner. We’ll session any features on Spencer that riders would like to session and then climb back up sessioning some features along the way. We will then descend Trace Ridge sessioning the log as well as the rock garden and any other features riders would like to session along the descent.

Participant benefits: I use video analysis during the clinic to help riders improve their skills. All riders will receive a link to all of the photos and videos taken during the clinic. Participants will receive a thorough write up of the skills and maneuvers learned during the clinic so that riders may use them to continue their learning beyond this clinic.
